Our Mission

MAVAW's Mission is to reduce in the first instance and eventually eradicate Unacceptable Violence in Society, with an emphasis on Domestic Violence and Violence Against Women, using a Multidisciplinary Approach, focusing on correcting Behaviour Skill and Belief System Deficits.

Since 1994 Men Against Violence Against Women (MAVAW) has worked alongside and supported all the major social change Non Governmental Organisations in Trinidad and Tobago and alongside International NGO's in Canada, Barbados, Suriname, Guyana and Jamaica.  MAVAW men sat on two of the most important Ad Hoc Cabinet Appointed Committees to date, one to review our Domestic Violence Legislation and the other to analyze the Status of the Family in Trinidad and Tobago.

The General and International Public we have interfaced with over the years welcomed the production of our 2002 Domestic Violence Handbook, our 2005 Violence Reduction CD containing 5 Textbooks, Radio Interviews and numerous links to important Websites.  The development of the BSD Syndrome is progressing rapidly having gained wide appreciation and acceptance, wherever introduced.
